  • RICHARD

Who else do I blog about.  Richard is down in North Carolina, Fort Bragg.  Actually,  he is in SUT training.  It's pretty intense.  He is in his 4th week of it.  He has a total of 3 months.  He completed 2 weeks a while ago, so hopefully he won't have to take the two weeks over again.   If you remember,  please pray for him.   It's quite intense and he just wants to make it through.  He said he would call in his 5th week,  so Lord willing we will hear from him the end of next week.

The Adamowiches are anxiously awaiting the birth of # 5 grandson and then a few weeks later #6 grandson.  All seems to be well with Liz, and Victoria is having problems with possible pre eclampsia again.  According the the doctor,  she will not make it full term.  They are talking around the middle of April if she goes that long.  (another prayer request)

Dan is coming along OK with his hyperthyroidism. He has his good days and bad days.   He has to go to a Neurologist (for tingling in his hands and feet) and an Endocrinologist.  We are waiting  for them to call for appointments.

Spring is just around the corner,  aren't you glad?   Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

  • Just heard

Richard called,  just hung up the phone.  Please pray for him.  He's leaves tomorrow at 0500 to start the next phase of his GB training.  It starts tomorrow and ends Dec l8th.  He said this is the hardest one yet.  Please pray for him.  Pray that the Lord would give him that extra bit of endurance, strength, and wisdom.  Please pray for all our servicemen, Seth,  Aaron, Jed, Scott, Steven, Joe......  pray that the Lord would protect them and don't forget the families of these fine young men.   We love them, and are proud of them.     May our Lord bless them and keep them from harm.

  • Praise the Lord for God's protection...

and Dan's nose.    It has taken me a while to write this, but, Friday night around 1130pm,  Dan woke me up and said something wasn't right.  He smelled something hot.  Electrical hot.  Now, we are talking about Dan,  the one who can't taste, but, he can smell?  Anyway,  we got up, and yep, there was smoke and a very strong smell of burnt plastic (remember ladies when we used to scorch tupperware?)  and hot electrical.  We started searching the house, and couldn't find anything,  Dan went into the kitchen and noticed smoke was coming from somewhere in there.  I gathered some belongings and the dog,  went outside,  the fire dept was called,  by the time the police, and fire dept got there,  Dan realized it was our fridge.  It's not that old,  he pulled it away from the wall,  there was a little flames coming from the bottom.  He unplugged it.  The firemen came in (this was around midnight) and checked the house with their infrared  gun.  They checked the whole house,  closets everything....what a humbling experience that was.   They gave the OK but told Dan to keep one eye open just in case.   Our very kind and sweet neighbors let us use their refridgerator to store stuff in.  So we got to sleep (one eye open) around 2:00AM Saturday.  When we got up,  we pretty much had to clean the entire upstairs.  The smell was into everything.  We washed curtains,  cleaned walls, bedding, etc.  Dan called Chuck VHart to see if we could use a fridgerator that he had in storage, and Chuck had it brought over in one of his trucks. THANKS CHUCK!!!   So,  all is well, and we are very thankful for God's protection.    This experience brought back memories of the fire we had in 1986.  That fire was pretty extensive and scary.  That's another story for another day.   Just glad MaryEllen and the kids had left that afternoon.  It would have been a frightening experience for the girls.

I leave you with a verse  Psalm 18:2  The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.
